The cyber systems and services market nowadays relies on robust and reliable security solutions to manage the uncertainty of the cyber environment and empower the level of trust within and across composite and interconnected cyber systems. However, due to the lack of experienced personnel and the low awareness on the appropriate mechanisms, there is an evolving need for improved cybersecurity capabilities and cyber resilience practices. To this end, the ERMIS project aims to deliver cyber security assurance and insurance as-a-service, by integrating mechanisms, services, and tools in an innovative marketplace platform. The marketplace will support the adoption of market-ready innovative cybersecurity solutions and tools to provide end-to-end support for cyber risk assessment, security certification, and cyber insurance processes. These are based on partners’ own product portfolio and their long-standing involvement in EU-supported research and innovation projects. It will also include results from other EU-funded initiatives that are currently accessible for use and open-source projects, upon their compliance check to fundamental security and privacy requirements. The ERMIS outcome will be validated in two business cases for improving cybersecurity capabilities for EU organisations and assessing cyber insurance contracts in real-life settings. The project is coordinated by TUC and consists of five SMEs (SPH, INSU, ZELUS, KAR and NDP), being technology providers and cyber insurance experts, and one governmental entity (MDG). This Consortium exhibits skills complementarity and expertise to ensure the successful delivery of the expected outcome.
