As a Data Engineer, you will:
- Develop, test, document, deploy, evaluate the technical performance of, and maintain self-contained software modules providing data analytics and/or visualization capabilities, including real-time data streaming, filtering, and processing
- Design, implement, monitor, manage and optimize data processing pipelines for different clients and in diverse domains (including for example healthcare and security analytics) using the big data analytics solution of the company
- Work as a member of a wider development team focusing on one or more of the key product capabilities of the company
- Follow software development lifecycle processes and documentation practices advocated by the company
- Participate in R&D teams involved in externally funded R&D projects and collaborate with external partners involved in such projects
- Actively promote the company culture
Required education, experience, and skills
For this post, you will need to have/demonstrate:
- BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Full proficiency in Python and knowledge of Java
- Experience with Machine Learning-related libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy) and AutoML
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs and service-based ML solutions
- Basic knowledge of SQL and no-SQL based data management and related systems
- Confidence in selecting and applying appropriate statistical analysis and ML-based analysis on unfamiliar data sets
- Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment
- Full fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in an environment with pressing and continuous solution delivery cycles
Desirable education, experience, and skills
- MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Involvement in EU funded R&D projects
- Awareness of cybersecurity issues and solutions
